Responsibilities

You area Senior Account Executive who knows how to:

  • Build rapport and cultivate relationships with clients, through sound counsel and flawless execution
  • Serve as day-to day client contact, providing tactical support and guidance on communications and/or advertising efforts
  • Work across departments, including creative, digital, media, and/or production, to develop and implement communications and advertising strategies, media, materials, and creative collateral for clients' campaigns
  • Work with team members to develop and manage project budgets and timelines
  • Work with senior staff and media department to develop effective and targeted media plans in both traditional, digital and social media outlets
  • Coordinate with team members to develop social media content and manage social channels on behalf of clients
  • Research, write and edit high-level materials, including communications plans, presentations, press materials, blog posts, content and editorial calendars, web pages/sites, video advertising elements, and client correspondence
  • Implement integrated communications plans on behalf our clients. Includes developing content; partnering with creative, media and production teams to develop effective campaigns; managing online communities and conversations; coordinating events and grassroots efforts; pitching stories; managing firm budgets and timelines
  • Monitor, analyze and report on client/industry related news, coverage, research and online conversations
  • Mentor and provide constructive feedback to junior staff members

 

  • Drive media relations efforts by developing media lists, pitching stories and building strong relationships with journalists, reporters and bloggers

Qualifications

You have…

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • 3-5 years of experience in communications, advertising, public relations, public policy, government or related field.
  • Experience in issues that impact health and health equity in the US
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects
  • Excellent client service skills; flexibility to work evenings and weekends - because we're a client services firm and sometimes that's when our clients need us 
  • Experience in media relations, developing pitch angles and pitching
  • Keen interest in and understanding of digital and social media platforms and community management
  • Exceptional writing skills; ability to synthesize complicated information and translate it into compelling and easy-to-understand messages
  • Solid project management skills
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
