Assistant Account Executive, Domestic Health

You are…an Assistant Account Executive who will:

• Become well versed on assigned clients, their issue area(s) and the current landscape of the issue area(s)
• Learn the services of the firm including strategic communications, event planning, advocacy and coalition building, media relations, advertising, design, and digital and social media
• Assist project teams with day-to-day execution of client work, including but not limited to conducting research, editing documents, taking meeting notes, pulling and distilling media clips, creating PowerPoint decks, updating status reports and coordinating logistics and deliverables between account, creative, digital, media and/or production departments
• Provide general administrative support for account teams, including scheduling and planning for client conference calls and meetings, booking travel, creating expense reports, monitoring budget documents, and assembling and formatting client materials and presentations
• Work with the accounting department to prepare monthly client billing invoices and memos, and work across creative, media and production departments to monitor account budgets and vendor payments
• Seek opportunities to learn and grow, showing interest and enthusiasm for continuous learning

You have…

• A Bachelor’s degree in communications, public policy or other fields from a four-year college or university
• Demonstrated internship experience in ideally the fields of issue advocacy, non-profit communications, marketing, CSR, or earned media
• Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and distill and streamline information
• Strong interest or experience in various communications platforms (including social media, traditional print, digital, and interactive user experience) and how they can be combined and leveraged for marketing and communications strategies
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
• Interest in issues that impact health and health equity in this country, willingness to be a team player and desire to roll up your sleeves to problem solve in this space
• Excellent customer service skills with an orientation to deliver customer-centric solutions
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, reporters and third parties
• Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
